Projects on site — across three continents

§ 1 Purpose and tasks

(1) Working groups serve the lasting advancement of dermatology, exclusively and directly in line with the charitable purposes of the Society.

(2) They initiate, coordinate and support projects in particular in the following areas:

• building and strengthening dermatological care structures
• promoting the education, training and continuing education of medical professionals
• scientific cooperation, research projects and publications
• professional exchange between partner institutions at home and abroad
• organising and supporting observerships and clinical assignments

§ 2 Organisation and integration

(1) Establishing a working group requires confirmation by the board.

(2) Each group names a contact person vis-à-vis the board.

(3) Working groups act independently on their projects but are organisationally part of the Society’s structure.

§ 3 Funding and cooperation

(1) To fulfil their tasks, working groups may receive financial or material support from other professional societies, foundations, public institutions, non-governmental organisations or other bodies.

(2) They may likewise enter into cooperation with national and international partner institutions.

(3) All forms of support and cooperation must be compatible with the charitable aims of the Society, and independence as well as scientific integrity must be preserved.

(4) Earmarked funds are accepted in consultation with the board and in compliance with the applicable law on associations and charitable status.

§ 4 Reporting and accountability

(1) Working groups report to the board on their activities, project progress and cooperation.

(2) The use of financial resources is to be presented transparently.
