Building dermatology in Cambodia
The Cambodia working group promotes medical training and qualified dermatological care in Cambodia — with its own website and its own team.
About the working group
The Cambodia working group supports the development of dermatology in Cambodia. Its focus is the promotion of dermatological training for local physicians and students as well as improved care for patients with skin diseases — especially in rural regions.
To this end, the working group places specialists in Cambodia and organises observerships for Cambodian physicians at German hospitals. It is a working group within the International Society of Dermatology in the Tropics e.V.
Priorities
Medical training
Promotion of education and continuing training in the field of dermatology — focused on Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh, the country’s largest hospital.
Care for disadvantaged groups
Development of qualified dermatological care for disadvantaged population groups, especially in rural areas.
Exchange programmes
Placement of specialists and mutual exchange programmes between German and Cambodian institutions.
Hospitals in Phnom Penh
The professional work focuses on three hospitals in the capital — above all the dermatology department of Calmette Hospital.

One of the three hospitals in Phnom Penh where dermatological care is being strengthened.
