Working for skin health in the tropics since 1996
The International Society of Dermatology in the Tropics e.V. is a non-profit scientific and medical society. We work to improve access to qualified dermatological care for people in tropical and subtropical countries.
Who we are
The Society brings together physicians, scientists, nurses and allied health professionals committed to dermatology in tropical regions. We currently have 170 members from 7 countries.
We are associated with the German Dermatological Society (DDG) and work closely with the Working Group for Dermatological Infectiology and Tropical Dermatology (ADI-TD).
Our work
Continuing Education
Regular meetings in Germany and abroad train physicians in recognising and treating typical tropical skin diseases.
Project Advice
We advise on practical support for dermatological projects in tropical and subtropical regions.
Travel Scholarships
Scholarships promote clinical knowledge exchange between Europe and the tropics in both directions.
International Network
170 members from 7 countries: physicians, scientists, nurses and allied healthcare professionals.
