Welcome, Patrick Obermeier
With Dr Dr Patrick Obermeier, the Board gains a colleague whose profile fits the ISDT exceptionally well. The Berlin-based dermatologist and venereologist works at the interface of dermatology and infectious diseases, from poxvirus infections to emerging diseases and tropical medicine. We look forward to working with him.

After seven years on the Board, Dr Friederike Kauer is stepping down. Since 2019 she has helped shape the Society’s work, first as Second Vice-Chair and most recently as First Vice-Chair. The whole Society thanks her sincerely for her long-standing commitment to tropical dermatology. Her service remains documented in our Board chronicle.
