Dr Dr Obermeier is a dermatologist and venereologist at the Department of Infectious Diseases, St Joseph Hospital Berlin-Tempelhof. He studied medicine at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and also completed a doctorate in France.
His scientific focus lies at the interface of dermatology and infectious diseases, from poxvirus infections to emerging diseases and tropical medicine. On the ISDT Board he serves as Second Vice-Chair.
