The Association "International Society for Dermatology in the Tropics e.V. (Verein zur Förderung der Dermatologie in den Tropen e.V.)" is an international non-profit association of physicians, scientists and medical nursing staff.
The purpose of the association is in particular the promotion of all measures for the sufficient and qualified dermatological care of the population living in tropical and subtropical countries.
In order to achieve this goal, we held regular conferences in Germany in order to educate and further train physicians with regard to typical and frequently encountered clinical pictures in the tropics, as well as to advise on problems and possibilities of assistance and support for projects in the tropics.
In addition, the association promotes the exchange of knowledge through travel grants for doctors - from Europe and the tropics.
Currently the association more than 120 members as well as Prof. Dr. Henning Großmann as honorary member.
